In some cases, children and teenagers may be unable to reside with their birth families and require placement in care. While each young person’s situation is unique, their fundamental needs are universal. All require loving, nurturing homes where they can feel understood and safe.

As a resident of Lewisham, you have the ability to make a profound difference in the lives of young people in your community. Do you have a spare bedroom and a passion for their wellbeing? Consider fostering, and provide a safe, supportive space for children and teenagers in need.

Are you interested in making a real difference to your community? Greater London Fostering (GLF) is seeking individuals who are willing to open their homes to support local children. Currently, there is a shortage of foster carers in Lewisham and throughout London. We need your help to recruit 15 new foster families to provide a stable and nurturing home to local kids.

Becoming a GLF foster carer provides financial assistance, including a weekly payment that covers child care costs. With our 24/7 support, GLF is here to help guide you through the fostering journey. You’ll receive £450 for foster a child under 11, and £475 for a child over 11.
